The ABNT NBR 14725 Standard has undergone an extensive process of review and update, and its new version was published on July 3, 2023. This marks the most significant and important update in the last 13 years.
NBR 14725 is the foremost regulation concerning the implementation of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) in Brazil. It is within this standard that all criteria for the classification of chemical products are outlined, along with instructions for creating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for Brazil, as well as labeling requirements.

PhD in Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of USP, Specialist in Environmental Management from the Faculty of Public Health of USP, graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Oswaldo Cruz School of Higher Chemistry. He has been working in the regulatory field of chemical safety since 1999, participated in the development of the comprehensibility test of the GHS to be applied in Brazil (2007) (OPAS/OMS contract).

Graduated in Environmental Chemistry from São Paulo State University (UNESP) and Master's in Health, Environment, and Sustainability from the University of São Paulo (USP). She has worked for over 10 years in chemical and toxicological risk management of hazardous chemicals, GHS and chemical safety documentation. Member of CB-10 the Brazilian committee that review and update the ABNT NBR 14725.
